What is the interest form and how do I share it?

Summary

The interest form is a short public page families can fill out without signing in. It captures contact info — and optional child details — so you can follow up before they complete a full waitlist application.

Configure it in Settings → Interest Form. Submissions appear on Wait List → Leads, not on the Wait List tab.

Before you start

  • You need access to Settings.
  • Decide whether you want a light first step (interest form) or a full application (waitlist form). Most centers share both.
  • The interest form does not collect waitlist fees, schedules, or priority questions. Use Share your parent waitlist link when a family is ready to apply.

Interest form vs waitlist form

Interest form Waitlist form
When to share Website, open house, social, or “not ready to apply yet” Families who want a spot on your waitlist
Sign-in Not required Email verification required
Required field Email Parent, child, and enrollment steps (fee if you charge one)
Where it lands Leads Wait List (after they submit)
Fee / schedules / priorities No Yes, from Settings → Enrollment & Waitlist

A submitted interest form is not a waitlist application. The family is not on your waitlist until they finish the waitlist form.

Steps

Customize and copy your link

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select Interest Form in the sidebar (its own tab, next to Enrollment & Waitlist).
  3. Under Public form, review Form subtitle. The default is: “Share your contact info and we'll be in touch. Only your email is required.”
  4. Edit the subtitle if you want, then click outside the field to save. Leave it as the default if that message works.
  5. Copy Your Interest Form Link (or use the copy icon). The link uses your center slug — same idea as your waitlist link.
  6. Optional: open the link in a new tab to preview what parents see.

You can also copy the same link from Wait List → Leads → Copy Interest Form Link, or use Global search (header search bar, or ⌘K / Ctrl+K) → Copy Interest Form Link.

Add custom questions (optional)

  1. On the same Interest Form tab, go to Custom Questions.
  2. Select + Add Question.
  3. In the Add Interest Form Question window, enter the question text and choose whether it is Required for parents to submit.
  4. Select Add Question in the window to save. Drag questions to reorder them.
  5. Use Edit to change wording or required/optional, or delete a question you no longer need.

Custom questions are open-ended. They are separate from Enrollment Priorities on the waitlist form.

Deleting a question removes it from the public form. Answers already saved on lead records stay there.

What happens next

  • Families open the link, enter at least an email, and select Submit. They see Thanks for your interest!
  • A new row appears on Wait List → Leads with source Interest form.
  • Kiddo does not email the family or your staff automatically. Reach out from the lead record when you are ready.
  • If that email already has an active waitlist application at your center, Kiddo does not create a second lead.

Common questions

Do I have to use the interest form?

No. Share only your waitlist link if you want every family to apply in full. Use the interest form when you want a lighter first step — tours, open houses, or “tell us you're interested.”

Can I change the link?

The path uses your center's slug, same as the waitlist form. Contact Kiddo support if you need a slug change. Keep old links working for families who already saved them.

What if a parent only enters an email?

That is enough. The lead shows No child yet (or Expecting if they used a due date). Add a Child first name before you convert the lead to a waitlist application.

Where did this move from Enrollment & Waitlist?

Interest form settings now live on their own Settings → Interest Form tab. Schedules, fees, priorities, and the waitlist welcome message stay under Enrollment & Waitlist.
