Connect Stripe for waitlist fees and payouts
Summary Connect Stripe so Kiddo can route waitlist and enrollment fee payouts to your center. Families can pay through Kiddo before onboarding is complete; payouts start after Stripe shows Connected. Before you start - You need admin access to Settings for your center. - Use a Stripe account authorized to receive payouts for your business (not a personal test account in production). - Demo centers: Stripe setup is optional for exploring sample data; connect Stripe before going live with real families. Steps 1. In Kiddo, open Settings. 2. Select the Integrations tab. 3. Find Stripe — description: Process center payouts automatically via Stripe. 4. Select Connect (or Continue setup if you started before). 5. Complete Stripe's onboarding in the new window — business details, bank account, and identity verification as Stripe requires. 6. Return to Kiddo. The integration should show Connected when Stripe finishes review. If status stays pending, select Refresh status on the Stripe row after you finish Stripe's forms. What happens next - Families can pay waitlist or enrollment fees through Kiddo when your center charges fees — even while Stripe status is Pending. - Payouts to your bank follow Stripe Connect timing and your platform fee settings, and begin once status is Connected. - If Stripe disconnects or needs updated information, return to Settings → Integrations → Stripe and Continue setup. Common questions Can families pay before Stripe is connected? Yes. Kiddo can collect waitlist and enrollment fees before your Stripe account is fully verified. Your center receives payouts only after Stripe shows Connected in Settings → Integrations. Do I need Stripe if my waitlist is free? No. Skip waitlist fees in Settings → Enrollment & Waitlist (waitlist fee section) if you do not charge to join. You still need Stripe for paid enrollment steps later. Why is status "Pending"? Stripe may still be verifying your account. Check email from Stripe for required documents, then use Refresh status in Kiddo. Can I use the same Stripe account for multiple locations? Connect once per center in Kiddo. Multi-location operators complete Stripe for each center that collects payments.
